Today is no exception and I'm a bit excited for everyone to see this one, so let's get rolling.Īs many of you may know, in the world of archery and compound bows there is a company out their that makes a quiver called the Vortexx 6 STX. Until next time….As is often typical I like to test and bring forward new products that I believe are the best available after market products of their type. It would mean a lot if you shared it with your friends. Please like “The Horizontal Zone” on Facebook. Please support that magazine because it supports us crossbow enthusiast.Īs always, thanks for spending your time reading my Blogs. I write the last page of the magazine entitled “The Parting Shot”. I wanted to let you know I am also now writing for Crossbow Magazine. Now you’re arrows and right where you need them! Picture yourself taking a doe only to find out that buck you’ve been chasing is scent trailing her a few minutes behind. Get to your stand and hang it in a convenient location just in case you need a follow up shot. You no longer have to haul around a brick attached to your crossbow. I no longer view a quiver as something to just hold my arrows in one place. The quiver is available in Black, Real Tree. If you go to Scorpyd’s website the quiver has retail of $89.95. I’m sure you want to know the price of it. But what I do know is the quiver is well built and extremely lightweight. I don’t know what materials are used to build this quiver. In finishing I must say I am very impressed with this quiver. In case you were wondering how the arrows coincide with the quiver clamp, here’s a picture of the loaded arrows and the clamp.Īttached to the branch next to your stand. Take note of the generous amount of room for your broad heads. You’re not getting an arrow out of a tree fired from one of these high horsepower bows.įrom L to R is an empty hood, with broad heads, and then field points. I would also say stump shooting but you better be using this quiver something less powerful than a Scorpyd crossbow. Some people like to do a some small game hunting from the stand and now you have the arrows conveniently placed for that. Why would you need something like that? For one, a discharge arrow can be stored there. The remaining two positions are on the backside of the quiver and are intended for field points. Just what does that 3+2 actually mean? The quiver holds three broad head tipped arrows under the main portion of the hood. The name of the quiver is “Lil Grip 3+2 Quiver”. The total weight comes in at 10.67 ounces. I currently shoot Tapp-Nation Punisher arrows out of my Death Stalker 110. That’s just insane! What does it weigh full? Remember the quiver holds five arrows. My scale has this quiver weighing 4.211 ounces when empty. I mentioned the weight, or should I say lack of weight of the Lil Grip Quiver. And yes, its strong enough stay put anywhere you clamp it. I’m sure some of you are asking just what is this gripper? Here’s the beautiful part, you can attach the quiver anywhere that is convenient to you because it has a spring loaded clamp on the back. Their original, though very nice, was bigger and heavier than the Lil Gripper. Toward the end of 2019, Scorpyd rolled out the “Lil Grip 3+2 Quiver”. After a while I settled on a black Kwikee Quiver and that was my go to set up.įast forward to recent years and certain manufactures started to put some thought and effort into quivers and Scorpyd Crossbows is one of them. You guys with hair less than dark I’m sure remember those days. All I can say is I had a lot bows that didn’t have matching quivers. Like a lot of young archers funds were tight. You see black bows and quivers were not an option in the early to mid 90’s. Vertical bows don’t come with quivers and when I bought a quiver for my first hunting bow I matched the camo on it. Usually whatever came with the crossbow was good for me. Until recently, I’ve never been one to spend money on a quiver.
